It's Monday! What are you reading?

A weekly bookish meme by BookJourney, where on Mondays you post about the book you are reading! I'm reading two books right now. Which are...

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
I'm really enjoying it so far. This afternoon I got it from my library and I'm now 44% through which has got to be a record for me. It's very readable and suspenseful.

Six Months Later by Natalie D. Richards
I'm reading this as a buddy read so I'm only like 60 pages in but already lurv Adam! It's pretty good, maybe  only 4 star material for now though. Whereas WWL is getting close to five stars from me which is rare.

I also finished Hold Still by Nina LaCour and The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick recently so I shall get those reviews up by Thursday. Just need to find a laptop that will allow gifs :/ what are you reading? Feel free to comment below or make your own post- but before Tuesday! :) bye!

Stacking the shelves

A weekly booksh meme hosted by Tynga, where you show off the books you are adding to your shelves this week, be it bought, borrowed or bought as an ebook. If it's on a shelf it counts.
Here's my "loot" as the computer at the library called it when I changed the language to pirate. XD

Okay so here it is:
I got them from the library, apart from If I stay which I want to reread, and i caved in and bought it. So they are:
Whatever after: if the shoe fits by sarah mlynowski. It's kind of a middle grade book but I liked the first, so.
Tiger lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson which my dear friend of goodreads, Sophia, recommended to me.
Me and earl and the dying girl by Jesse Andrews which I see all over the internet and thought I should read.
The darkest minds which I need to read (at Cassies request, of course)

So you can show off your own books that you got this week on your own blog as long as you link it to Tynga.
Later Xx

Waiting on Wednesday

A weekly bookish meme created and hosted by http://www.breakingthespine.blogspot.com/. What you do is choose a couple of upcoming releases that you can't wait for! Mine this week are Ashes to Ashes by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian and the final Pretty little liars book, Vicious.

They are both my favourite book series and they are both the last books. But I NEED THEM BOTH RIGHT NOW. Ashes to ashes is actually already on order at my local library so it's not too urgent but Vicious is scheduled for sometime in December, and I have preordered it!! I'm so emotional about it though. :(
. What are your waiting on Wednesdays? Comment in the comments or make your own post! :D

Soundtrack Saturday!

This is a book meme made by Erin where you pick four songs that remind you of aspects of a book you read recently. The parts you need to find songs for are starting/opening song, character song, relationship song and an ending song

The book I chose was The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick :)

The starting song
I picked True love by Coldplay because Pat is so overwhelmed by the need to be with Nikki again that he just wants to hear that she loves him, even if it means lying to him.

Character song
Trainwreck by Demi Lovato- because Pat has all the traits Demi sings of- he's lost even when going the right way, he hates going to doctors, and he is definitely a trainwreck, but he still has people who love him for him. Although I have to say the person in the songs condition may not be as bad as Pats.

Relationship song-
Another Demi one, Two pieces. Pat and Tiffany are both broken and lost, both depressed and confused but they find that together they can feel whole again.

Ending song-
Begin again by Taylor Swift, because both Pat and Tiffany are beginning again by the end- not only with their relationship, but with their lives, they are moving on and loving again.

So, that was my soundtrack :) hope you enjoyed :P

My artwork

In English today we were supposed to read a Roald Dahl short story, but I finished early so I drew Tris Prior, then Katniss Everdeen and finally Bella Swan. They would make a great team, don't you think?? The brave, the spark and the shield.
